Dr Bill Grennall - MBBS FRACGP

Studied at The University of New South Wales (1986) and became a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in August 1993. His special interests are in paediatrics and general family medicine. Bill is actively involved in the training of our medical registrars.  He is married with 3 children, 2 dogs, 4 sets of bagpipes and has a great sense of humour.

Dr Martyn Hood - MBBS DRANZCOG FRACGP

Studied at the University of Sydney (1987) and became a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in August 1994.  Martyn holds a Diploma in Obstetrics and is affiliated with The Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He joined LMDS in 1992 and is married with 4 children.

Dr John Webster - MBBS BMed (Sci) FRACGP

John became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1999. He has provided services for the Royal Flying Doctor Service at Alice Springs, has a special interest in men's health issues and general medical problems.  John is married with 3 children and loves fishing and triathlon.

Dr Kristina Love - BAppSc (Physio)  MBBS FRACGP

Kristina enjoys seeing a wide variety of presentations and has a strong interest in Women's health. She has worked at the surgery since finishing GP training in 2013 and is available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. She also works for Family Planning Australia. 
Her interests are running, travel and musical theatre.

Dr Jeremy Provan - MBBS BSc (Hons) FRACGP

Jeremy lives in Newcastle NSW with his wife and their dog and cat. He loves baking, cycling, playing guitar and gardening. After growing up in country Victoria, he studied and worked in Sydney before training in General Practice in the Hunter/Central Coast. Amongst his areas of interest are men's and women's health, transgender and gender diverse health, skin cancer medicine (and other procedures) and liver and kidney medicine.

Dr Ian Aston - MBBS, BBus (CDFSP), FRACGP

Ian graduated from the University of Notre Dame in Sydney and then moved to work in the Newcastle area.

Before commencing his General Practice Training, he completed several hospital terms including Psychiatry, Emergency, Rheumatology and Orthopaedics. He enjoys all aspects of General Practice and takes pride in providing long term holistic care to his patients.

Outside work, Ian drags himself around the soccer pitch and attempts to kick the ball in the correct direction. He also enjoys destroying popular songs with his guitar playing.

Dr Deshan Goonetilleke (Registrar) - MBBS BEng(Mech)(Hons) BCom

Deshan graduated from the Australian National University in 2013.

He has gained experience working in multiple specialties within Adult Physician Medicine in the Illawarra Shoalhaven and Central Coast Health Districts prior to embarking on General Practice training.

His interests include self defence training, movies and cricket. He wants to get into some dancing, but unfortunately has two left feet at the moment.

Dr Anton Wright (Registrar) - MD, B. App. Sc (Exercise & Sport Science), Master of Physiotherapy

Anton initially trained and worked as a physiotherapist. Following this he studied Medicine at the University of Sydney, graduating in 2020. 

Since graduating he has worked at Gosford and Wyong hospitals in a range of medical, surgical and critical care specialties before transitioning into general practice training.

He enjoys sports such as rugby and surfing, as well as camping, hiking and spending time outdoors with his young family.
